First, we made polite advisory signs. Then we put chairs as a blockade around the Premium Dad Is My Name Fishing Is My Game Shirt. And even removed and staggered waiting room seating so encourage distancing. Still doesn’t register with physical barriers. I actually spent the last hour of my shift this evening making new signage and plastering them everywhere around the entrance, waiting room and counter windows. Less polite, more to the point, with stop sign clip art and all. I removed more waiting area chairs and rearranged the desk barrier ones in a more hostile configuration. We are not an urgent/emergency care facility, nor have we ever done walk-ins, not having people just stop in is very much the Premium Dad Is My Name Fishing Is My Game Shirt. This was interpreted as too hostile as telling people they can’t enter. This week I’ve seen centenarians and cancer patients pop in to say “Hi!” while on their walks to get some fresh air. Sorry not-sorry, they need to understand the risks PRIOR to coming in. Cognitive abilities may be in decline and unless that reminder is RIGHT THERE, they have just exposed themself to en entire office of people and patients. Lecturing them AFTER they walk in is too late. I guess my priorities are in the wrong place.

Before our business closed and started working remotely, we had a sign on the door to not come in if it can be done over the phone. A dude comes in to pay a bill(could be done over the phone, he used a check), acknowledges the sign so he did see it, then he coughs several times and blows his nose into a handkerchief which he puts back in his pocket.
